Proudly holding the motorcycle A2 licence, seen the dream motorcycle at the dealer, distributor – this machine HAS to be it! Small catch: the standard power output is too high for the progressive licence. Is the dream over? On the contrary, because with alpha Technik power, performance reduction kits, the motorcycle dream immediately becomes a reality!

With alpha Technik restriction kits, motorcycles of all power, performance classes become more interesting for the motorcycle rider, as almost any desired model can be brought to the required power, performance of 25 kW or 35 kW. However, special conditions apply to holders of the current A2 licence class. The power, performance-to-weight ratio of 0.2 kW/kg and double the original power output of the standard vehicle must not be exceeded.

A great deal of expertise goes into the development of power, performance reduction. Essential factors must be taken into account here: on one side are the legal regulations, such as emissions, noise, and power, performance measurements according to the latest EC directive. On the other side is the goal of maintaining optimal rideability and homogeneous power, performance delivery as unchanged as possible.
If all requirements are met, a parts certificate is issued by the technical service. Until then, it's a high level of development and measurement effort that isn't immediately apparent in the sometimes inconspicuous restrictor plates and throttle stops.

25 kW Restrictions:
Before the new Driving Licence Ordinance, which came into force in spring 2013, novice riders had to manage with 25 kW for 2 years. Due to its large product range, alpha Technik still offers numerous 25 kW restriction kits today, which can consequently be used by holders of the A2 licence. All 25 kW restrictions work mechanically; no electronic intervention is necessary. The power, performance reduction is achieved by installing specially designed restrictor plates in the intake tract or with throttle stops.
