There's a slight hitch: the standard power for the tiered licence is too high. Is the dream over? On the contrary, because with alpha Technik power, performancereductions, the motorcycledream immediately becomes reality!

With alpha Technik restriction kits, motorcycles of all power, performanceclasses become more appealing to the motorcyclerider, as almost any desired model can be restricted to the required power, performance of 25 kW or 35 kW. However, special conditions apply to holders of the current A2 driving licence class. The power, performanceweight of 0.2 kW/kg and double the original power output of the standard vehicle must not be exceeded.

A great deal of expertise goes into the development of power, performancereduction. Essential factors must be considered: on one hand, legal regulations such as exhaust, noise, and power, performancemeasurements according to the latest EC directive. On the other hand, the aim is to maintain optimal rideability and homogeneous power, performancedelivery as unchanged as possible.
Once all requirements are met, a parts certificate is issued by the technical service. Until then, it involves extensive development and measurement effort, which is not immediately apparent in the sometimes inconspicuous restriction plates and throttle stops.

25 kW Restrictions:
Before the new driving licence regulation, which came into force in spring 2013, new licence holders had to manage with 25 kW for 2 years. Due to its wide range, alpha Technik still offers numerous 25 kW restriction kits today, which can therefore be used by holders of the A2 driving licence. All 25 kW restrictions work mechanically, and no electronic interventions are necessary. The power, performancereduction is achieved by installing specially designed restriction plates in the intake tract, or with throttle stops.
