Proudly holding your motorcycle driving licence A2, you've seen your dream motorcycle at the dealer, distributor – this machine HAS to be it! Small catch: the standard output is too high for a graduated licence. Is the dream over? On the contrary, because with alpha Technik power, performance reductions, your motorcycle dream immediately becomes reality!

With alpha Technik restriction kits, motorcycles of all power, performance classes become more interesting for motorcycle riders, as almost any desired model can be brought to the required power, performance of 25 kW or 35 kW. However, special conditions apply to holders of the current driving licence class A2. The power, performance-to-weight ratio of 0.2 kW/kg and double the original output of the series vehicle must not be exceeded.

A lot of expertise goes into the development of power, performance reduction. Essential factors must be considered: on one side are legal regulations, such as exhaust, noise, and power, performance measurements according to the latest EC directive. On the other side, the largely unaltered preservation of optimal rideability and homogeneous power, performance delivery. If all requirements are met, a component approval certificate is issued by the technical service. Until then, the development and measurement effort is considerable, which is not immediately apparent in the sometimes inconspicuous restrictor plates and throttle limiters.

25 kW restrictions:
Before the new Driving Licence Ordinance, which came into force in spring 2013, new licence holders had to make do with 25 kW for 2 years. Due to its extensive product range, alpha Technik still offers numerous 25 kW restriction kits today, which can consequently be used by A2 driving licence holders. All 25 kW restrictions work mechanically; no intervention in the electronics is necessary. The power, performance reduction is achieved by installing specially designed restrictor plates in the intake tract or with throttle limiters.
