With alpha Technik restriction kits, motorcycles of all power, performance classes become more interesting for the motorcycle rider, as almost any desired model can be brought to the required power, performance of 25 kW or 35 kW. However, special conditions apply to holders of the current A2 driving licence class. The power, performance weight of 0.2 kW/kg and double the original output of the series vehicle must not be exceeded.

A lot of know-how goes into the development of power, performance reduction. Essential factors must be taken into account: on the one hand, statutory regulations such as exhaust, noise, and power, performance measurements according to the latest EC directive. On the other hand, the preservation of optimal rideability and homogeneous power, performance development as unchanged as possible.
Once all requirements are met, a parts certificate is issued by the technical service. Until then, there is a significant development and measurement effort involved, which is not immediately apparent from the sometimes inconspicuous restrictor plates and throttle stops.

25 kW Restrictions:
Before the new driving licence regulation, which came into force in spring 2013, new licence holders had to manage with 25 kW for 2 years. Due to its extensive range, alpha Technik still offers numerous 25 kW restriction kits today, which can consequently be used by A2 licence holders. All 25 kW restrictions work mechanically; no intervention in the electronics is necessary. The power, performance reduction occurs through the installation of specially designed restrictor plates in the intake tract, or with throttle stops.
