Proudly holding your motorcycle A2 driving licence, you've spotted your dream motorcycle at the dealer, distributor – this machine HAS to be yours! Small catch: the standard power output is too high for the stepped driving licence. Is the dream over? On the contrary, with alpha Technik power, performances reductions, your motorcycle dream immediately becomes a reality!

With alpha Technik restriction kits, motorcycles of all power, performances classes become more appealing for the motorcycle rider, as almost any desired model can be restricted to the required power, performance of 25 kW or 35 kW. However, special conditions apply to holders of the current A2 driving licence class. The power, performances weight of 0.2 kW/kg and double the original power output of the standard vehicle must not be exceeded.

A lot of expertise goes into the development of power power, performances reduction. Essential factors must be considered: on one hand, there are legal regulations such as exhaust, noise, and power, performances measurements according to the latest EC directive. On the other hand, the aim is to maintain optimal rideability and homogeneous power, performances delivery as unchanged as possible.
Once all requirements are met, a part certificate is issued by the technical service. Until then, it is a high development and measurement effort, which is not immediately apparent in the sometimes inconspicuous restrictor plates and throttle stops.

25 kW restrictions:
Before the new driving licence regulation came into force in spring 2013, new licence holders had to make do with 25 kW for 2 years. Due to its extensive product range, alpha Technik still offers numerous 25 kW restriction kits today, which can consequently be used by A2 licence holders. All 25 kW restrictions operate mechanically; no intervention in the electronics is necessary. The power, performances reduction is achieved by installing specially designed restrictor plates in the intake tract or with throttle stops.
