Proudly holding your motorcycle A2 driving licence, you've spotted your dream motorcycle at the dealer, distributor – this machine HAS to be yours! Small catch: the standard power output is too high for the tiered licence. Is the dream over? On the contrary, with alpha Technik power, performances reductions, your motorcycle dream immediately becomes a reality!

With alpha Technik restriction kits, motorcycles of all power, performances classes become more appealing for motorcycle riders, as almost any desired model can be brought to the required power, performance of 25 kW or 35 kW. However, special conditions apply to holders of the current A2 driving licence. The power, performances weight of 0.2 kW/kg and double the original power output of the series vehicle must not be exceeded.

A lot of expertise goes into the development of power, performances reduction. Essential factors must be considered: on the one hand, statutory regulations such as exhaust gas, noise, and power, performances measurements according to the latest EC Directive. On the other hand, the greatest possible preservation of optimal rideability and homogeneous power, performances delivery. Once all requirements are met, a part certificate is issued by the technical service. Until then, it involves extensive development and measurement efforts, which are not immediately apparent in the sometimes inconspicuous restriction plates and throttle stops.

25 kW Restrictions:
Before the new driving licence regulation came into force in spring 2013, new licence holders had to manage with 25 kW for 2 years. All 25 kW restrictions operate mechanically; no intervention in the electronics is necessary. The power, performances reduction is achieved by installing specially designed restriction plates in the intake tract or with throttle stops.
