Proudly holding the motorcycle A2 driving licence, saw the dream motorcycle at the dealer, distributor - this machine HAS to be it! Small catch: the standard power for the graduated driving licence is too high. Is the dream over? On the contrary, with alpha Technik power, performances reductions, the motorcycle dream immediately becomes reality!

With alpha Technik restriction kits, motorcycles of all power, performance classes become more interesting for the motorcycle rider, as almost any desired model can be brought to the required power, performance of 25 kW or 35 kW. However, special conditions apply to holders of the current A2 driving licence class. The power, performance weight of 0.2 kW/kg and double the output power of the series vehicle must not be exceeded.

A lot of know-how goes into the development of power, performances restriction. Essential factors must be taken into account: on the one hand, there are legal regulations, such as exhaust, noise, and power, performances measurements according to the latest EC directive. On the other hand, the preservation of optimal rideability and homogeneous power, performances development as unchanged as possible.
If all requirements are met, a parts certificate is issued by the technical service. Up to that point, it involves a high level of development and measurement effort, which is not immediately apparent in the sometimes inconspicuous throttle plates and throttle stops.

25 kW restrictions:
Before the new driving licence regulation, which came into force in spring 2013, new licence holders had to manage with 25 kW for 2 years. Due to its extensive range, alpha Technik still offers numerous 25 kW restriction kits today, which can consequently be used by holders of the A2 driving licence. All 25 kW restrictions function mechanically; no intervention in the electronics is necessary. The power, performances restriction is achieved by installing specially designed throttle plates in the intake tract, or with throttle stops.
