Proudly holding your motorcycle A2 driving licence, seen your dream motorcycle at the dealer, distributor - this machine HAS to be yours! One small catch: the standard power output is too high for a staged driving licence. Dream over? On the contrary, with alpha Technik power, performance restrictions, your motorcycle dream immediately becomes reality!

With alpha Technik restriction kits, motorcycles of all power, performance classes become more interesting for the motorcycle rider, as almost any desired model can be brought to the required power, performance of 25 kW or 35 kW. However, special conditions apply to holders of the current A2 driving licence class. The power, performance weight of 0.2 kW/kg and double the original power output of the series vehicle must not be exceeded.

A lot of know-how goes into the development of power, performance restriction. Essential factors must be taken into account here: on one side are the legal regulations, such as exhaust, noise, and power, performance measurements according to the latest EC directive. On the other side, the largely unaltered preservation of optimal rideability and homogeneous power, performance delivery.
Once all requirements are met, a parts certificate is issued by the technical service. Until then, it involves considerable development and measurement effort, which is not immediately apparent from the sometimes inconspicuous restriction plates and throttle stops.

25 kW Restrictions:
Before the new driving licence regulation, which came into force in spring 2013, new licence holders had to make do with 25 kW for 2 years. alpha Technik still offers numerous 25 kW restriction kits today, due to its extensive product range, which can consequently be used by holders of the A2 driving licence. All 25 kW restrictions operate mechanically; no electronic intervention is required. The power, performance restriction is achieved by installing specially designed restriction plates in the intake tract, or with throttle stops.
