Through a targeted intervention in the engine management of the moped or light motorcycle engine, the speed and thus the power, performance is gently brought down to the permitted level upon reaching the respective maximum speed.This is achieved by installing a CDI unit tailored to the respective vehicle. Connecting the throttle boxes is lightning fast on most vehicles, as the plug connections are already prepared. The original ignition box is unplugged and the alpha Technik ignition box is connected – done. An optimised ignition curve ensures powerful acceleration up to the redline. Beyond the redline, the ignition is continuously influenced. In contrast to conventional, abrupt ignition interruption by switching off the spark, this adjustment allows for very comfortable, almost jerk-free riding.
