For newer Euro 4 vehicles, the gas injection is also influenced to avoid negatively affecting exhaust emissions and the associated fuel consumption. This is achieved by installing a CDI unit tailored to the respective vehicle. Connecting the restrictor boxes is lightning-fast on most vehicles, as the plug connections are already pre-wired. Only with older electronic conversion kits with additional electronics do a few cable connections need to be made.
