Expert opinion for 35 kW for Honda CRF1000L Africa Twin Adventure Sports - also with DCT, vehicle type: SD06, from model year 2018, EC type-approval no.: e4*168/2013*00033*, with conversion parts (electronic power, performance restriction = Micro Controlled Restriction). Only for vehicles with electronic throttle twist grip (Ride-by-Wire) and Power Modes. With DTC comfort function, automatic mode is only possible to a limited extent due to the power, performance restriction.

General Description

Electronic restriction to 35 kW for Euro 4 motorcycles:
With alpha Technik restriction kits, motorcycles of all power, performance classes become more attractive for the motorcycle rider, as almost any desired model can be brought to the required power, performance of 35kW. However, special conditions apply to holders of the current A2 driving licence class. The power, performance weight of 0.2kW/kg and double the original output of the series vehicle must not be exceeded.

A lot of expertise goes into the development of power, performance restriction. Essential factors must be considered here: on the one hand, statutory regulations, such as exhaust, noise, and power, performance measurements according to the latest EC directive. On the other hand, the greatest possible unchanged preservation of optimal rideability and homogeneous power, performance delivery.

From the beginning, alpha Technik has shaped the development of power, performance modifications for the new Euro 4 vehicles according to currently valid directives. Since the launch of the protected MCR restriction modules in 2016, we have offered you and your customers reliable technology at the highest level at an affordable price.

The latest version makes restriction for “Ride by wire” vehicles even easier, faster, and more convenient. These vehicles can now be reduced to 35 kW with absolute operational reliability, without the additional restriction plates (*) previously used. The newly developed control technology of the modules ensures the correct ratio of gas and air at all times.

The redundancy required by law is, of course, met, as is electromagnetic compatibility (EMC).
The workshop time for installing the restriction is significantly reduced; installation is faster and very easy to carry out.
A major advantage of the MCR restriction for bikers remains the complete number-plate bracket of the throttle angle at the throttle twist grip – every movement towards full throttle provides propulsion!

(*) For Euro 4 vehicles with conventional throttle cables to the throttle bodies, the additional restriction plates remain an indispensable component for the correct mixture composition – this prevents leaning out with reduced gas supply but fully open throttle bodies.
