Proudly holding the motorcycle A2 driving licence, seen the dream motorbike at the dealer, distributor – this machine HAS to be it! Small catch: the standard power, performance output for the graduated licence is too high. Dream over? On the contrary, because with alpha Technik power, performance restrictions, the motorcycle dream immediately becomes reality!

With alpha Technik restriction kits, motorbikes of all power, performance classes become more interesting for the motorcycle rider, as almost any desired model can be brought to the required power, performance of 25 kW or 35 kW. However, special conditions apply to holders of the current A2 driving licence class. The power, performance weight of 0.2 kW/kg and double the original power, performance output of the standard vehicle must not be exceeded.

A lot of expertise goes into the development of power, performance restriction. Key factors must be considered here: on the one hand, legal regulations such as exhaust gas, noise, and power, performance measurements according to the latest EC directive. On the other hand, the preservation of optimal rideability and homogeneous power, performance delivery, as unchanged as possible.
If all requirements are met, a parts certificate is issued by the technical service. Until then, it is a considerable development and measurement effort, which is not immediately apparent from the sometimes inconspicuous restriction plates and throttle stops.

25 kW Restrictions:
Before the new driving licence regulation came into force in spring 2013, new licence holders had to manage with 25 kW for 2 years. Due to its extensive range, alpha Technik still offers numerous 25 kW restriction kits today, which can consequently be used by A2 licence holders. All 25 kW restrictions function mechanically; no electronic intervention is required. The power, performance restriction is achieved by installing specially designed restriction plates in the intake tract, or with throttle stops.
