Proudly holding the motorcycle A2 driving licence, seen your dream motorcycle at dealer, distributor – this machine HAS to be yours! Small catch: the standard power output for the graduated licence is too high. Dream over? On the contrary, because with alpha Technik power, performance reduction kits, the motorcycle dream instantly becomes reality!

With alpha Technik throttle restrictor kits, motorcycles of all power, performance classes become more interesting for the motorcycle rider, as almost any desired model can be brought to the required power, performance of 25 kW or 35 kW. However, special conditions apply to holders of the current A2 driving licence class. The power, performance-to-weight ratio of 0.2 kW/kg and double the original power output of the series vehicle must not be exceeded.

A lot of know-how goes into the development of power, performance reduction. Here, essential factors must be considered: on the one hand, there are legal regulations such as exhaust, noise, and power, performance measurements according to the latest EC directive. On the other hand, the preservation of optimal rideability and homogeneous power, performance development as unchanged as possible.
Once all requirements are met, a component certificate is issued by the technical service. Until then, it is a considerable development and measurement effort, which is not immediately apparent from the sometimes inconspicuous throttle restrictors and throttle stops.

25 kW Restrictions:
Before the new driving licence regulation, which came into force in spring 2013, new licence holders had to make do with 25 kW for 2 years. Due to its extensive product range, alpha Technik still offers numerous 25 kW restriction kits today, which can consequently be used by A2 licence holders. All 25 kW restrictions operate mechanically; no intervention in the electronics is required. The power, performance reduction is achieved by installing specially designed throttle restrictors in the intake tract, or with throttle stops.
