Proudly holding the motorcycle A2 driving licence, you've spotted your dream motorcycle at the dealer, distributor – this machine HAS to be yours! Small catch: the standard power, performance for the staged licence is too high. Is the dream over? On the contrary, because with alpha Technik power, performance reductions, the motorcycle dream immediately becomes reality!

With alpha Technik throttle kits, motorcycles of all power, performance classes become more interesting for the motorcycle rider, as almost any desired model can be brought to the required power, performance of 25 kW or 35 kW. However, special conditions apply to holders of the current A2 driving licence class. The power, performance weight of 0.2 kW/kg and double the original output of the series vehicle must not be exceeded.

A lot of expertise goes into the development of power, performance reduction. Here, essential factors must be considered: on one hand, the legal regulations, such as exhaust emission, noise, and power, performance measurements according to the latest EC directive. On the other hand, the preservation of optimal rideability and homogeneous power, performance delivery as unchanged as possible.
If all requirements are met, a parts certificate is issued by the technical service. Until then, it is a high development and measurement effort, which is not immediately apparent in the sometimes inconspicuous throttle restrictors and throttle travel limiters.

25 kW Throttles:
Before the new driving licence regulation, which came into force in spring 2013, new driving licence holders had to make do with 25 kW for 2 years. Due to its extensive range, alpha Technik still offers numerous 25 kW throttle kits today, which can consequently be used by holders of the A2 driving licence. All 25 kW throttles work mechanically; no intervention in the electronics is necessary. The power, performance reduction occurs through the installation of specially designed throttle restrictors in the intake tract, or with throttle travel limiters.
