Proudly holding your motorcycle driving licence A2, seen your dream motorcycle at the dealer, distributor – this machine HAS to be yours! Small catch: the series power is too high for the staged licence. Is the dream over? On the contrary, because with alpha Technik power, performance reduction kits, your motorcycle dream immediately becomes a reality!

With alpha Technik restrictor kits, motorcycles of all power, performance classes become more interesting for the motorcycle rider, as almost any desired model can be brought to the required power, performance of 25 kW or 35 kW. However, special conditions apply to holders of the current driving licence class A2. The power, performance-to-weight ratio of 0.2 kW/kg and double the output power of the series vehicle must not be exceeded.

A lot of know-how goes into the development of power reduction. Essential factors must be considered: on the one hand, statutory regulations such as exhaust, noise and power, performance measurements according to the latest EC directive. On the other hand, the preservation of optimal rideability and homogeneous power, performance delivery as unchanged as possible.
Once all requirements are met, a parts certificate is issued by the technical service. Until then, a high level of development and measurement effort is required, which is not immediately apparent from the sometimes inconspicuous restrictor plates and throttle limiters.

25 kW Restrictions:
Before the new Driving Licence Ordinance, which came into force in spring 2013, new licence holders had to manage with 25 kW for 2 years. Due to its extensive range, alpha Technik still offers numerous 25 kW restrictor kits today, which can consequently be used by holders of the A2 driving licence. All 25 kW restrictors work by mechanical means; no intervention in the electronics is necessary. The power, performance reduction occurs through the installation of specially designed restrictor plates in the intake manifold, or with throttle limiters.
