Proudly holding your motorcycle A2 driving licence, having seen your dream motorcycle at dealer, distributor – this machine HAS to be yours! Small catch: the standard power is too high for the staged driving licence. Is the dream over? On the contrary, because with alpha Technik power, performances reductions, the motorcycle dream immediately becomes reality!

With alpha Technik restrictor kits, motorcycles of all power, performances classes become more interesting for the motorcycle rider, as almost any desired model can be brought to the required power, performance of 25 kW or 35 kW. However, special conditions apply to holders of the current A2 driving licence class. The power, performances weight of 0.2 kW/kg and double the original power output of the series vehicle must not be exceeded.

Much know-how goes into the development of power, performances reduction. Essential factors must be taken into account: on the one hand, statutory regulations such as exhaust, noise, and power, performances measurements according to the latest EC directive. On the other hand, the preservation of optimal rideability and homogeneous power, performances delivery as unchanged as possible.
If all requirements are met, a parts certificate is issued by the technical service. Until then, it is a high development and measurement effort, which is not immediately apparent from the sometimes inconspicuous restrictor plates and throttle travel limiters.

25 kW Restrictions:
Before the new driving licence regulation came into force in spring 2013, new driving licence holders had to manage with 25 kW for 2 years. All 25 kW restrictors function mechanically; no intervention in the electronics is necessary. The power, performances reduction is achieved by installing specially designed restrictor plates in the intake tract or with throttle travel limiters.
