Proudly holding the motorcycle A2 licence, having spotted the dream motorcycle at the dealer, distributor – this machine simply HAS to be yours! Small catch: the standard power, performance is too high for the tiered licence. Is the dream over? On the contrary, with alpha Technik power, performance reductions, the motorcycle dream immediately becomes reality!

With restrictor kits from alpha Technik, motorcycles of all power, performance classes become more appealing for motorcycle riders, as almost any desired model can be brought to the required power, performance of 25 kW or 35 kW. However, special conditions apply to holders of the current A2 licence class. The power, performance-to-weight ratio of 0.2 kW/kg and double the original output of the standard vehicle must not be exceeded.

Much know-how goes into the development of power, performance reduction. Here, essential factors must be considered: on the one hand, legal regulations such as exhaust gas, noise, and power, performance measurements according to the latest EC directive. On the other hand, the preservation of optimal rideability and homogeneous power, performance delivery as unchanged as possible.
Once all requirements are met, a technical report (Teilegutachten) is created by the technical service. Until then, it is a significant development and measurement effort, which is not immediately apparent in the sometimes inconspicuous restrictor plates and throttle stops.

25 kW Restrictions:
Before the new driving licence regulation, which came into force in spring 2013, new licence holders had to manage with 25 kW for 2 years. Due to its extensive product range, alpha Technik still offers numerous 25 kW restrictor kits today, which can consequently be used by holders of the A2 licence. All 25 kW restrictors function mechanically; no intervention in the electronics is necessary. The power, performance reduction occurs through the installation of specially designed restrictor plates in the intake tract or with throttle stops.
