Small catch: the standard power for the staged driving licence is too high. Is the dream over? On the contrary, with alpha Technik power, performance power reductions, your motorcycle dream immediately becomes a reality! With alpha Technik restrictor kits, motorcycles of all power, performance classes become more appealing for motorcycle riders, as almost any desired model can be brought to the required power, performance of 25 kW or 35 kW. However, special conditions apply to holders of the current A2 driving licence class. The power, performance power-to-weight ratio of 0.2 kW/kg and double the original power of the series vehicle must not be exceeded.
A great deal of expertise goes into the development of power, performance power reduction. Essential factors must be taken into account: on one side are the legal regulations, such as emissions, noise, and power, performance power measurements according to the latest EC directive. On the other side is the preservation of optimal rideability and homogenous power, performance power delivery, as unaltered as possible.
Once all requirements are met, a parts certificate is issued by the technical service. Until then, it involves a significant development and measurement effort, which is not immediately apparent from the sometimes unassuming restrictor plates and throttle stops.
25 kW Restrictions:

Due to its extensive range, alpha Technik still offers numerous 25 kW restrictor kits today, which can therefore be used by holders of the A2 driving licence. All 25 kW restrictors work mechanically; no interventions in the electronics are necessary. The power, performance power reduction occurs through the installation of specially designed restrictor plates in the intake tract, or with throttle stops.
