Proudly holding your motorcycle A2 licence, you've spotted your dream motorcycle at the dealer, distributor – this is the machine you HAVE to have! Small catch: the standard power, performance for a staged licence is too high. Is the dream over? On the contrary, with alpha Technik power, performance reductions, your motorcycle dream immediately becomes a reality!

With restrictor kits from alpha Technik, motorcycles of all power, performance classes become more interesting for motorcycle riders, as almost any desired model can be brought down to the required power, performance of 25 kW or 35 kW. However, special conditions apply to holders of the current A2 driving licence class. The power, performance weight of 0.2 kW/kg and double the original power, performance of the standard vehicle must not be exceeded.

A great deal of expertise goes into developing power, performance reductions. Essential factors must be considered: on one hand, legal requirements such as exhaust gas, noise, and power, performance measurements according to the latest EC directive. On the other hand, the preservation of optimal rideability and homogeneous power, performance delivery as unchanged as possible. If all requirements are met, a parts certificate is issued by the technical service. Until then, it is a demanding development and measurement effort that is not immediately apparent in the sometimes inconspicuous restrictor plates and throttle stops.

25 kW Restrictions:

Before the new driving licence regulation came into force in spring 2013, novice drivers had to manage with 25 kW for 2 years. Due to its extensive range, alpha Technik still offers numerous 25 kW restrictor kits today, which can therefore be used by holders of the A2 licence. All 25 kW restrictions operate mechanically; no intervention in the electronics is necessary. The power, performance reduction occurs through the installation of specially designed restrictor plates in the intake tract or with throttle stops.
