Proudly holding your motorcycle A2 licence, you've spotted your dream motorbike at the dealer, distributor – this machine HAS to be yours! Small catch: the standard power is too high for a staged licence. Is the dream over? On the contrary, with alpha Technik power, performance reductions, your motorcycle dream immediately becomes reality!

With restrictor kits from alpha Technik, motorbikes of all power, performance classes become more interesting for motorcycle riders, as almost any desired model can be brought down to the required power, performance of 25 kW or 35 kW. However, special conditions apply to holders of the current A2 driving licence class. The power, performance weight of 0.2 kW/kg and double the original power of the standard vehicle must not be exceeded.

A great deal of know-how goes into the development of power, performance reduction. Essential factors must be taken into account: on one side are the legal regulations, such as exhaust, noise and power, performance measurements according to the latest EC directive. On the other side, the largely unaltered preservation of optimal rideability and homogeneous power, performance delivery.
If all requirements are met, a component certification is issued by the technical service. Until then, it is a high development and measurement effort, which is not immediately apparent in the sometimes inconspicuous restrictor plates and throttle stops.

25 kW restrictions:
Before the new Driving Licence Ordinance, which came into force in spring 2013, new licence holders had to make do with 25 kW for 2 years. Due to its extensive range, alpha Technik still offers numerous 25 kW restrictor kits today, which can consequently be used by A2 licence holders. All 25 kW restrictions work by mechanical means; no intervention in the electronics is necessary. The power, performance reduction occurs through the installation of specially designed restrictor plates in the intake tract, or with throttle stops.
