Proudly holding the motorcycle A2 licence, seen the dream motorcycle at the dealer, distributor - this machine MUST be it! Small catch: the standard power output is too high for a staged licence. Dream over? Quite the opposite, because with alpha Technik power, performances reductions, the motorcycle dream immediately becomes a reality!

With alpha Technik restrictor kits, motorcycles of all power, performances classes become more interesting for the motorcycle rider, as almost any desired model can be brought to the required power, performance of 25 kW or 35 kW. However, special conditions apply to holders of the current A2 driving licence. The power, performances weight of 0.2 kW/kg and double the original power output of the production vehicle must not be exceeded.

A lot of expertise goes into the development of power, performances restriction. Key factors must be taken into account: on the one hand, statutory regulations, such as exhaust, noise, and power, performances measurements according to the latest EC directive. On the other hand, the preservation of optimal rideability and homogeneous power, performances development, as unchanged as possible.
Once all requirements are met, a parts certificate is issued by the technical service. Until then, it involves extensive development and measurement efforts, which are not immediately apparent in the sometimes inconspicuous restrictor plates and throttle stops.

25 kW Restrictions:
Before the new driving licence regulation came into force in spring 2013, new licence holders had to make do with 25 kW for 2 years. Due to its extensive product range, alpha Technik still offers numerous 25 kW restrictor kits today, which can therefore be used by holders of an A2 licence. All 25 kW restrictors function mechanically; no intervention in the electronics is necessary. The power, performances restriction is achieved by installing specially designed restrictor plates in the intake tract, or with throttle stops.
