Proudly holding your motorcycle A2 driving licence, you've seen your dream motorcycle at the dealer, distributor – this machine HAS to be yours! Small catch: the standard power is too high for the staged driving licence. Is the dream over? On the contrary, because with alpha Technik power, performance reductions, your motorcycle dream instantly becomes reality!

With alpha Technik restrictor kits, motorcycles of all power, performance classes become more interesting for the motorcycle rider, as almost any desired model can be brought to the required power, performance of 25 kW or 35 kW. However, special conditions apply to holders of the current A2 driving licence class. The power, performance power-to-weight ratio of 0.2 kW/kg and double the original power output of the production vehicle must not be exceeded.

A lot of know-how goes into the development of power, performance reductions. Essential factors must be considered: on the one hand, statutory regulations, such as emissions, noise, and power, performance measurements according to the latest EC directive. On the other hand, the preservation of optimal rideability and homogeneous power, performance delivery as unchanged as possible.
Once all requirements are met, a parts certificate is issued by the technical service. Until then, it is a high development and measurement effort, which is not immediately apparent in the sometimes inconspicuous restrictor plates and throttle travel limiters.

25 kW Restrictions:
Before the new driving licence regulation, which came into force in spring 2013, new driving licence holders had to manage with 25 kW for 2 years. alpha Technik offers due to its wide range also today numerous 25 kW restrictor kits, which can consequently be used by A2 driving licence holders. All 25 kW restrictors function mechanically; no intervention in the electronics is necessary. The power, performance reduction is achieved by installing specially designed restrictor plates in the intake manifold, or with throttle travel limiters.
