Proudly holding your motorcycle A2 licence, you've seen your dream motorbike at the dealer, distributor – this machine MUST be yours! The only catch: the standard power is too high for the tiered licence. Is the dream over? On the contrary, because with alpha Technik power, performances restrictions, your motorcycle dream immediately becomes a reality!

With alpha Technik restrictor kits, motorbikes of all power, performances classes become more appealing for motorcycle riders, as almost any desired model can be reduced to the required power, performance of 25 kW or 35 kW. However, special conditions apply to holders of the current A2 licence class. The power, performances weight of 0.2 kW/kg and double the original power output of the series vehicle must not be exceeded.

A great deal of know-how goes into the development of power, performances restrictions. Essential factors must be taken into account here: on the one hand, legal requirements such as exhaust, noise, and power, performances measurements according to the latest EC directive. On the other hand, the preservation of optimal rideability and homogeneous power, performances development as unchanged as possible.
Once all requirements are met, a parts certificate is issued by the technical service. Until then, a considerable amount of development and metrological effort goes into them, which is not immediately apparent in the sometimes inconspicuous restrictor plates and throttle stops.

25 kW Restrictions:
Before the new driving licence regulation came into force in spring 2013, new drivers had to manage with 25 kW for 2 years. Due to its extensive range, alpha Technik still offers numerous 25 kW restrictor kits today, which can consequently be used by A2 licence holders. All 25 kW restrictions work mechanically; no intervention in the electronics is necessary. The power, performances restriction is achieved by installing specially designed restrictor plates in the intake manifold or with throttle stops.
