Proudly holding your motorcycle A2 motorcycle licence, you've seen your dream motorbike at the dealer, distributor – this machine HAS to be yours! Small catch: the standard power output is too high for a graduated licence. Is the dream over? On the contrary, with alpha Technik power, performance reductions, your motorcycle dream immediately becomes reality!

With alpha Technik restrictor kits, motorcycles of all power, performance classes become more appealing to motorcycle riders, as almost any desired model can be adjusted to the required power, performance of 25 kW or 35 kW. However, special conditions apply to holders of the current A2 motorcycle licence class. The power, performance to weight ratio of 0.2 kW/kg and double the original power output of the standard vehicle must not be exceeded.

A great deal of expertise goes into the development of power, performance reduction. Essential factors must be considered: on one hand, legal requirements such as exhaust emission, noise, and power, performance measurements according to the latest EC directive. On the other hand, maintaining the optimal rideability and homogeneous power, performance delivery as unchanged as possible. Once all requirements are met, a parts certificate is issued by the technical service. Until then, the developmental and metrological effort is significant, often not immediately apparent in the sometimes unassuming restrictor plates and throttle stops.

25 kW Restrictions:
Before the new driving licence regulation came into force in spring 2013, new licence holders had to make do with 25 kW for 2 years. Due to its extensive range, alpha Technik still offers numerous 25 kW restrictor kits today, which can therefore be used by A2 licence holders. All 25 kW restrictors operate mechanically; no intervention in the electronics is required. The power, performance reduction is achieved by installing specially designed restrictor plates in the intake manifold, or with throttle stops.
