Proudly holding the motorcycle A2 licence, spotted the dream motorcycle at the dealer, distributor – this machine HAS to be it! Slight catch: the series output is too high for the stepped licence. Is the dream over? On the contrary, because with alpha Technik power, performances reductions, the motorcycle dream immediately becomes reality!

With restrictor kits from alpha Technik, motorcycles of all power, performance classes become more interesting for the motorcycle rider, as almost any desired model can be brought to the required power, performance of 25 kW or 35 kW. However, special conditions apply to holders of the current A2 licence class. The power, performance to weight ratio of 0.2 kW/kg and double the original output of the standard vehicle must not be exceeded.

A lot of know-how goes into the development of power, performances reduction. Essential factors must be taken into account: on the one hand, statutory regulations such as exhaust gas, noise, and power, performances measurements according to the latest EC directive. On the other hand, the greatest possible preservation of optimal rideability and homogeneous power, performances delivery.
If all requirements are met, a part certificate is issued by the technical service. Until then, it is a considerable development and measurement effort, which is not immediately apparent in the sometimes inconspicuous restrictor plates and throttle stops.

25 kW Restrictions:
Before the new driving licence regulation, which came into force in spring 2013, new licence holders had to manage with 25 kW for 2 years. All 25 kW restrictors function mechanically; no intervention in the electronics is necessary. The power, performances reduction occurs through the installation of specially designed restrictor plates in the intake tract, or with throttle stops.
