Proudly holding your motorcycle A2 driving licence, you've seen your dream motorcycle at the dealer, distributor - this machine HAS to be it! Small catch: the standard power for the tiered driving licence is too high. Is the dream over? On the contrary, because with alpha Technik power, performances reductions, your motorcycle dream immediately becomes a reality!

With restrictor kits from alpha Technik, motorcycles of all power, performances classes become more appealing for the motorcycle rider, as almost any desired model can be adjusted to the required power, performance of 25 kW or 35 kW. However, specific conditions apply to holders of the current A2 driving licence class. The power, performances-to-weight ratio of 0.2 kW/kg and double the original power output of the standard vehicle must not be exceeded.

A lot of expertise goes into the development of power, performances reduction. Essential factors must be considered: on one hand, legal regulations such as exhaust emissions, noise, and power, performances measurements according to the latest EC directive. On the other hand, maintaining optimal rideability and homogeneous power, performances delivery as unchanged as possible.
Once all requirements are met, a parts certificate is issued by the technical service. Until then, it involves significant development and measurement efforts, which are not immediately apparent from the sometimes inconspicuous restrictor plates and throttle restrictors.

25 kW restrictions:
Before the new driving licence regulation came into force in spring 2013, new licence holders had to make do with 25 kW for 2 years. Due to its extensive range, alpha Technik still offers numerous 25 kW restrictor kits today, which can therefore be used by A2 driving licence holders. All 25 kW restrictors operate mechanically; no intervention in the electronics is necessary. The power, performances reduction is achieved by installing specially designed restrictor plates in the intake tract, or with throttle restrictors.
