Proudly holding your motorcycle A2 motorcycle licence, you've seen your dream motorcycle at the dealer, distributor – this is the machine you MUST have! Small hitch: the standard power output is too high for a progressive motorcycle licence. Is the dream over? On the contrary, with alpha Technik power, performances, your motorcycle dream immediately becomes a reality!

With alpha Technik restrictor kits, motorcycles of all power, performance classes become more attractive to the motorcycle rider, as almost any desired model can be brought down to the required power, performance of 25 kW or 35 kW. However, special conditions apply to holders of the current A2 motorcycle licence class. The power, performance-to-weight ratio of 0.2 kW/kg and double the original power output of the standard vehicle must not be exceeded.

A great deal of know-how goes into the development of power, performance reduction. Essential factors must be taken into account: on the one hand, statutory regulations such as exhaust emissions, noise, and power, performance measurements according to the latest EC directive. On the other hand, the aim is to maintain optimal rideability and homogeneous power, performance delivery as unchanged as possible.
When all requirements are met, a parts certificate is issued by the technical service. Until then, the development and measurement effort is considerable, which is not always apparent from the sometimes inconspicuous restrictor plates and throttle stops.

25 kW Restrictions:
Before the new driver's licence regulation came into force in spring 2013, new licence holders had to make do with 25 kW for 2 years. Due to its extensive product range, alpha Technik still offers numerous 25 kW restrictor kits today, which can therefore be used by A2 licence holders. All 25 kW restrictors operate mechanically; no intervention in the electronics is necessary. The power, performance reduction is achieved by installing specially designed restrictor plates in the intake tract or by using throttle stops.
