Proudly holding your motorcycle driving licence A2, seen your dream motorcycle at the dealer, distributor – this machine MUST be yours! Small catch: the standard power output is too high for the staged driving licence. Dream over? On the contrary, because with alpha Technik power, performance reductions, your motorcycle dream immediately becomes a reality!

With alpha Technik restrictor kits, motorcycles of all power, performance classes become more interesting for motorcycle riders, as almost any desired model can be brought to the required power, performance of 25 kW or 35 kW. However, special conditions apply to holders of the current A2 driving licence class. The power, performance power-to-weight ratio of 0.2 kW/kg and double the original power output of the standard vehicle must not be exceeded.

A great deal of expertise goes into the development of power, performance restriction. Essential factors must be taken into account: on the one hand, statutory regulations such as exhaust, noise and power, performance measurements according to the latest EC directive. On the other hand, the preservation of optimal rideability and homogeneous power, performance power delivery, as unaltered as possible.
If all requirements are met, a technical report will be prepared by the technical service. Until then, the development and measurement effort is high, which is not immediately apparent from the sometimes inconspicuous restrictor plates and throttle travel limiters.

25 kW Restrictions:
Before the new driving licence regulation, which came into force in spring 2013, new drivers had to manage with 25 kW for 2 years. Due to its large assortment, alpha Technik still offers numerous 25 kW restrictor kits today, which can consequently be used by A2 driving licence holders. All 25 kW restrictors work mechanically; no intervention in the electronics is necessary. The power, performance restriction occurs through the installation of specially designed restrictor plates in the intake tract or with throttle travel limiters.
