Proudly holding your A2 motorcycledriving licence, you've seen your dream motorbike at the dealer, distributor – this machine HAS to be yours! Small catch: the standard power output for the stepped licence is too high. Is the dream over? On the contrary, with alpha Technik power, performancereductions, your motorcycledream instantly becomes reality!

With alpha Technik restrictor kits, motorcycles of all power, performanceclasses become more appealing to motorcycleriders, as almost any desired model can be brought down to the required power, performance of 25 kW or 35 kW. However, special conditions apply to holders of the current A2 driving licence. The power, performanceweight of 0.2 kW/kg and double the original power output of the series vehicle must not be exceeded.

A great deal of expertise goes into the development of power, performancereductions. Essential factors must be taken into account: on one hand, there are legal regulations such as exhaust gas, noise, and power, performancemeasurements according to the latest EC directive. On the other hand, there is the preservation of optimal rideability and homogenous power, performancedelivery, as far as possible without alteration. Once all requirements are met, a parts certificate is issued by the technical service. Until then, the development and measurement effort is considerable, which is not immediately apparent in the sometimes inconspicuous restrictor plates and throttle stops.

25 kW Restrictions:Before the new driving licence regulation, which came into force in spring 2013, new licence holders had to make do with 25 kW for 2 years. Due to its extensive product range, alpha Technik still offers numerous 25 kW restrictor kits today, which can consequently be used by A2 licence holders. All 25 kW restrictors operate mechanically; no intervention in the electronics is required. The power, performancereduction is achieved by installing specially designed restrictor plates in the intake tract, or with throttle stops.
