Proudly holding your motorcycle licence A2, seen your dream motorcycle at the dealer, distributor – this machine HAS to be yours! Small catch: the standard power output for the staged licence is too high. Is the dream over? On the contrary, because with alpha Technik power, performance power reduction kits, your motorcycle dream immediately becomes a reality!

With restrictor kits from alpha Technik, motorcycles of all power, performance power categories become more interesting for the motorcycle rider, as almost any desired model can be brought down to the required power, performance power of 25 kW or 35 kW. However, special conditions apply to holders of the current A2 licence class. The power, performance power-to-weight ratio of 0.2 kW/kg and double the original power output of the series vehicle must not be exceeded.

A lot of know-how goes into the development of power reduction. Essential factors must be considered: on one side are the legal regulations, such as emissions, noise, and power, performance power measurements according to the latest EC directive. On the other side is the preservation of optimal rideability and homogeneous power, performance power delivery as unchanged as possible.
If all requirements are met, a parts certificate is issued by the technical service. Until then, it's a high development and measurement effort, which is not immediately apparent from the sometimes inconspicuous restrictor plates and throttle stops.

25 kW restrictions:
Before the new Driving Licence Regulation came into force in spring 2013, new licence holders had to make do with 25 kW for 2 years. Due to its extensive range, alpha Technik still offers numerous 25 kW restrictor kits today, which can therefore be used by A2 licence holders. All 25 kW restrictions work mechanically; no intervention in the electronics is necessary. The power, performance power reduction is achieved by installing specially designed restrictor plates in the intake tract or with throttle stops.
