Proudly holding your A2 motorcycle licence, you've seen your dream motorbike at the dealer, distributor – this machine HAS to be yours! Small catch: the standard power for a tiered licence is too high. Is the dream over? On the contrary, with alpha Technik power restrictor kits, your motorcycling dream becomes an instant reality!

With alpha Technik restrictor kits, motorbikes of all power classes become more appealing for motorcyclists, as almost any desired model can be brought down to the required power of 25 kW or 35 kW. However, special conditions apply to holders of the current A2 licence class. The power-to-weight ratio of 0.2 kW/kg and double the original power of the series vehicle must not be exceeded.

Much know-how goes into the development of power restriction. Essential factors must be considered here: on the one hand, legal regulations, such as exhaust, noise, and power measurements according to the latest EC directive. On the other hand, the preservation of optimal rideability and homogeneous power delivery as unchanged as possible.
If all requirements are met, a parts certificate is issued by the technical service. Until then, it is a demanding development and measurement effort, which is not immediately apparent in the sometimes inconspicuous restrictor plates and throttle stops.

25 kW restrictors:
Before the new Driving Licence Ordinance, which came into force in spring 2013, new licence holders had to manage with 25 kW for 2 years. Due to its extensive range, alpha Technik still offers numerous 25 kW restrictor kits today, which can therefore be used by A2 licence holders. All 25 kW restrictors work mechanically; no electronic intervention is necessary. Power restriction occurs through the installation of specially designed restrictor plates in the intake tract or with throttle stops.
