General description

Proudly holding the motorcycledriving licence A2, seen the dream motorcycle at the dealer, distributor – this machine HAS to be it! Small catch: the standard power for the staged driving licence is too high. Is the dream over? On the contrary, with alpha Technik power, performance reductions, the motorcycledream immediately becomes reality!

With restrictor kits from alpha Technik, motorcycles of all power, performance classes become more interesting for the motorcycle rider, as almost any desired model can be brought to the required power, performance of 25 kW or 35 kW. However, special conditions apply to holders of the current driving licence class A2. The power, performance weight of 0.2 kW/kg and double the output power of the series vehicle must not be exceeded.

A great deal of know-how goes into the development of power, performance reduction. Essential factors must be taken into account here: on the one hand, statutory regulations such as exhaust, noise and power, performance measurements according to the latest EC directive. On the other hand, the greatest possible unchanged preservation of optimal rideability and homogeneous power, performance delivery.
If all requirements are met, a part certificate is issued by the technical service. Until then, there is a high development and measurement effort, which is not immediately apparent in the sometimes inconspicuous restrictor plates and throttle stops.

25 kW restrictions:
Before the new Driving Licence Ordinance, which came into force in spring 2013, new driving licence holders had to manage with 25 kW for 2 years. Due to its wide range, alpha Technik still offers numerous 25 kW restrictor kits today, which can therefore be used by holders of the A2 driving licence. All 25 kW restrictors work mechanically; no intervention in the electronics is necessary. The power, performance reduction is achieved by installing specially designed restrictor plates in the intake tract or with throttle stops.
