Proudly holding your motorcycle A2 motorcycle licence, spotted your dream motorcycle at the dealer, distributor – this is the machine for you! Small catch: the standard power output is too high for a graduated licence. Is the dream over? On the contrary, with alpha Technik power, performance restrictor kits, your motorcycle dream immediately becomes a reality!

With restrictor kits from alpha Technik, motorcycles of all power, performance classes become more interesting for motorcycle riders, as almost any desired model can be adjusted to the required power, performance of 25 kW or 35 kW. However, special conditions apply to holders of the current A2 licence class. The power, performance-to-weight ratio of 0.2 kW/kg and double the original vehicle's output must not be exceeded.

A great deal of expertise goes into developing power, performance restriction kits. Essential factors must be considered: on the one hand, legal requirements such as exhaust gas, noise and power, performance measurements according to the latest EC directive. On the other hand, the aim is to maintain optimal rideability and homogenous power, performance delivery as unchanged as possible.
If all requirements are met, a parts certificate is issued by the technical service. Until then, the development and measurement effort is considerable, which is not immediately apparent from the sometimes inconspicuous restrictor plates and throttle stops.

25 kW restrictions:
Before the new Driving Licence Ordinance came into force in spring 2013, new licence holders had to manage with 25 kW for 2 years. Due to its extensive range, alpha Technik still offers numerous 25 kW restrictor kits today, which can therefore be used by A2 licence holders. All 25 kW restrictors work mechanically; no intervention in the electronics is necessary. The power, performance reduction is achieved by installing specially designed restrictor plates in the intake manifold, or with throttle stops.
