Proudly holding your motorcycle A2 driving licence, you've seen your dream motorcycle at the dealer, distributor – this machine HAS to be yours! Small catch: the standard power output is too high for a staged licence. Is the dream over? On the contrary, with alpha Technik power, performances reductions, your motorcycle dream immediately becomes a reality!

With alpha Technik restrictor kits, motorcycles of all power, performances classes become more appealing for motorcycle riders, as almost any desired model can be brought to the required power, performance of 25 kW or 35 kW. However, special conditions apply to holders of the current A2 driving licence class. The power, performances power-to-weight ratio of 0.2 kW/kg and double the original power output of the series vehicle must not be exceeded.

A great deal of know-how goes into the development of power, performances reduction. Essential factors must be taken into account: on one hand, legal regulations such as exhaust, noise, and power, performances measurements according to the latest EC directive. On the other hand, maintaining optimal rideability and homogeneous power, performances power delivery as unchanged as possible.
Once all requirements are met, a parts certificate is issued by the technical service. Until then, it involves a significant development and measurement effort, which is not immediately apparent from the sometimes inconspicuous restrictor plates and throttle stops.

25 kW Restrictions:
Before the new Driving Licence Ordinance, which came into force in spring 2013, new licence holders had to make do with 25 kW for 2 years. Due to its extensive range, alpha Technik still offers numerous 25 kW restrictor kits today, which can therefore be used by A2 licence holders. All 25 kW restrictors work mechanically; no interventions in the electronics are necessary. The power, performances reduction is achieved by installing specially designed restrictor plates in the intake tract or with throttle stops.
