Proudly holding your A2 motorcycle licence, spotted your dream motorcycle at the dealer, distributor – this machine HAS to be yours! Small catch: the standard power output is too high for the graduated licence. Is the dream over? On the contrary, with alpha Technik power, performances reductions, your motorcycle dream immediately becomes a reality!

With alpha Technik restrictor kits, motorcycles of all power, performances classes become more interesting for the motorcycle rider, as almost any desired model can be brought to the required power, performance of 25 kW or 35 kW. However, special conditions apply to holders of the current A2 driving licence class. The power, performances weight of 0.2 kW/kg and double the original power output of the standard vehicle must not be exceeded.

A lot of know-how goes into the development of power, performances reduction. Essential factors must be taken into account here: on one side are the legal regulations, such as exhaust emission, noise, and power, performances measurements according to the latest EC directive. On the other side, the preservation of optimal rideability and homogeneous power, performances development, as unchanged as possible.
Once all requirements are met, a technical report is prepared by the technical service. Up to that point, a great deal of development and measurement effort is required, which is not immediately apparent in the sometimes unassuming restrictor plates and throttle stops.

25 kW Restrictions:
Before the new driving licence ordinance, which came into force in spring 2013, new licence holders had to manage with 25 kW for 2 years. Due to its extensive range, alpha Technik still offers numerous 25 kW restrictor kits today, which can consequently be used by A2 licence holders. All 25 kW restrictors work mechanically; no intervention in the electronics is necessary. The power, performances reduction occurs through the installation of specially designed restrictor plates in the intake tract or with throttle stops.
