Proudly holding the motorcycle A2 driving licence, seen your dream motorcycle at the dealer, distributor - this machine HAS to be yours! Small catch: the standard power output for the stepped licence is too high. Dream over? On the contrary, because with alpha Technik power, performances reductions, the motorcycle dream instantly becomes reality!

With alpha Technik restrictor kits, motorcycles of all power, performances classes become more interesting for the motorcycle rider, as almost any desired model can be brought to the required power, performance of 25 kW or 35 kW. However, special conditions apply to holders of the current A2 driving licence class. The power, performances weight of 0.2kW/kg and double the original power output of the series vehicle must not be exceeded.

A lot of know-how goes into the development of power, performances reduction. Key factors must be taken into account: on one side are the legal regulations, such as exhaust, noise, and power, performances measurements according to the latest EC directive. On the other side, the greatest possible preservation of optimal rideability and homogeneous power, performances delivery.
Once all requirements are met, a parts certificate is issued by the technical service. Until then, it involves extensive development and measurement efforts, which are not immediately apparent in the sometimes inconspicuous restrictor plates and throttle stops.

25 kW Restrictions:
Before the new driving licence regulation came into force in spring 2013, new licence holders had to make do with 25 kW for 2 years. Due to its wide range, alpha Technik still offers numerous 25 kW restrictor kits today, which can consequently be used by A2 driving licence holders. All 25 kW restrictions function mechanically; no electronic interventions are necessary. The power, performances reduction is achieved by installing specially designed restrictor plates in the intake manifold or with throttle stops.
