Proudly holding the motorcycle A2 licence, having seen the dream motorcycle at the dealer, distributor – this machine MUST be yours! Small catch: the standard power for the graduated licence is too high. Is the dream over? On the contrary, because with alpha Technik power, performance reduction kits, your motorcycle dream immediately becomes a reality!

With alpha Technik restrictor kits, motorcycles of all power, performance classes become more appealing for the motorcycle rider, as almost any desired model can be adjusted to the required power, performance of 25 kW or 35 kW. However, specific conditions apply to holders of the current A2 driving licence class. The power, performance to weight ratio of 0.2 kW/kg and double the original power output of the production vehicle must not be exceeded.

Extensive know-how goes into the development of power, performance reduction. Here, essential factors must be considered: on one side are legal requirements, such as exhaust emission, noise, and power, performance measurements according to the latest EC directive. On the other side, the preservation of optimal rideability and homogeneous power, performance delivery as unchanged as possible.
Once all requirements are met, a component certificate is issued by the technical service. Until then, it is a considerable development and measurement effort, which is not immediately apparent in the sometimes unassuming restrictor plates and throttle stops.

25 kW Restrictions:
Before the new driving licence regulation, which came into force in spring 2013, new licence holders had to make do with 25 kW for 2 years. Due to its extensive range, alpha Technik still offers numerous 25 kW restrictor kits today, which can consequently be used by A2 licence holders. All 25 kW restrictors work mechanically; no intervention in the electronics is necessary. The power, performance reduction is achieved by installing specially designed restrictor plates in the intake tract, or with throttle stops.
