Proudly holding your motorcycle driving licence A2, seen your dream motorcycle at the dealer, distributor - this machine HAS to be yours! Small catch: the standard power for the graduated driving licence is too high. Is the dream over? On the contrary, because with alpha Technik power, performance power reductions, the motorcycle dream immediately becomes reality!

With restrictor kits from alpha Technik, motorcycles of all power, performance power classes become more interesting for the motorcycle rider, as almost every desired model can be brought to the required power, performance power of 25 kW or 35 kW. However, special conditions apply to holders of the current driving licence class A2. The power, performance power-to-weight ratio of 0.2 kW/kg and double the output power of the standard vehicle must not be exceeded.

A lot of know-how goes into the development of power reduction. Essential factors must be taken into account: on the one hand, statutory regulations such as exhaust, noise, and power, performance power measurements according to the latest EC directive. On the other hand, the preservation of optimal rideability and homogeneous power, performance power delivery, as unaltered as possible.
If all requirements are met, a component certificate is issued by the technical service. Until then, a high development and measurement effort is required, which is not immediately apparent from the sometimes inconspicuous restrictor plates and throttle travel limiters.

25 kW Restrictions:
Before the new driving licence regulation, which came into force in spring 2013, novice riders had to manage with 25 kW for 2 years. Due to its extensive product range, alpha Technik still offers numerous 25 kW restrictor kits today, which can consequently be used by A2 licence holders. All 25 kW restrictors work mechanically; no intervention in the electronics is necessary. The power, performance power reduction is achieved by installing specially developed restrictor plates in the intake tract or with throttle travel limiters.
