Proudly holding the motorcycle A2 licence, spotted the dream motorcycle at the dealer, distributor - this machine HAS to be yours! Small catch: the standard power output is too high for the graduated licence. Is the dream over? On the contrary, with alpha Technik power, performance reducers, the motorcycle dream immediately becomes reality!

With alpha Technik restrictor kits, motorcycles of all power, performance classes become more appealing for the motorcycle rider, as almost any desired model can be brought down to the required power, performance of 25 kW or 35 kW. However, special conditions apply to holders of the current A2 motorcycle licence. The power, performance weight of 0.2 kW/kg and double the original power output of the standard vehicle must not be exceeded.

A great deal of know-how goes into the development of power, performance reduction. Essential factors must be taken into account: on one side are the legal regulations, such as exhaust, noise, and power, performance measurements according to the latest EC directive. On the other side, the preservation of optimal rideability and homogeneous power, performance development as much as possible.
Once all requirements are met, a component certificate is issued by the technical service. Until then, it is a high development and measurement effort, which is not immediately apparent in the sometimes inconspicuous restrictor plates and throttle stops.

25 kW Restrictors:
Before the new driving licence regulation, which came into force in spring 2013, new licence holders had to manage with 25 kW for 2 years. Due to its extensive range, alpha Technik still offers numerous 25 kW restrictor kits today, which can consequently be used by A2 licence holders. All 25 kW restrictors operate mechanically; no electronic intervention is required. The power, performance reduction is achieved through the installation of specially designed restrictor plates in the intake tract or with throttle stops.
