Proudly holding your motorcycle A2 driving licence, you've spotted your dream motorcycle at the dealer, distributor – this machine HAS to be yours! Minor snag: the standard power output is too high for a staged licence. Is the dream over? On the contrary, with alpha Technik power, performances power reductions, your motorcycle dream immediately becomes a reality!

With alpha Technik restrictor kits, motorcycles of all power, performances classes become more appealing for motorcycle riders, as almost any desired model can be adjusted to the required power, performance of 25 kW or 35 kW. However, special conditions apply to holders of the current A2 driving licence. The power, performances power-to-weight ratio of 0.2 kW/kg and double the original power output of the standard vehicle must not be exceeded.

A great deal of expertise goes into the development of power restriction. Essential factors must be considered: on one hand, legal requirements such as exhaust, noise, and power, performances power measurements according to the latest EC directive. On the other hand, maintaining optimal rideability and homogeneous power, performances power delivery as unchanged as possible.
Once all requirements are met, a component certificate is issued by the technical service. Until then, significant development and measurement effort is involved, which is not always immediately apparent from the sometimes inconspicuous restrictor plates and throttle stops.

25 kW Restrictions:
Before the new driving licence regulation came into force in spring 2013, new licence holders had to make do with 25 kW for 2 years. Due to its extensive product range, alpha Technik still offers numerous 25 kW restrictor kits today, which can therefore be used by A2 driving licence holders. All 25 kW restrictions work mechanically; no intervention in the electronics is necessary. The power, performances power reduction is achieved by installing specially designed restrictor plates in the intake tract or with throttle stops.
