Product details

25 kW `motorcycleland` certificate for Yamaha YZFR1, vehicle type: RN01, from model year 1998, with ABE No. H917, from 72kW. Please note for 110 kW output! The vehicle must first be converted to 72 kW using original Yamaha `spare part`s = ignition box TNDF-42 and `throttle slide` restrictors. 110 kW output is only possible after conversion to 72 kW using original spare parts.

General description

Proudly holding the `motorcycle` A2 driving licence, the dream motorcycle spotted at the `dealer, distributor` – this machine MUST be yours! Small catch: the standard power for the progressive licence is too high. Dream over? On the contrary, with alpha Technik `power, performance` reductions, the `motorcycle` dream immediately becomes reality!

With alpha Technik restrictor kits, motorcycles of all `power, performance` classes become more interesting for the `motorcycle` rider, as almost any desired model can be brought to the required `power, performance` of 25 kW or 35 kW. However, special conditions apply to holders of the current A2 driving licence class. The `power, performance`-to-weight ratio of 0.2 kW/kg and double the output power of the standard vehicle must not be exceeded.

Much know-how goes into the development of `power, performance` reduction. Essential factors must be considered: on the one hand, statutory regulations such as exhaust, noise, and `power, performance` measurements according to the latest EC directive. On the other hand, the preservation of optimal rideability and homogeneous `power, performance` delivery as unchanged as possible.
If all requirements are met, a part certificate is issued by the technical service. Until then, it is a demanding development and measurement effort, which is not immediately apparent in the sometimes inconspicuous restrictor plates and throttle restrictors.

25 kW Restrictions:
Before the new Driving Licence Ordinance, which came into force in spring 2013, new licence holders had to manage with 25 kW for 2 years. Due to its extensive range, alpha Technik still offers numerous 25 kW restrictor kits today, which can consequently be used by holders of the A2 driving licence. All 25 kW restrictions work mechanically; no interventions in the electronics are necessary. The `power, performance` reduction is achieved through the installation of specially designed restrictor plates in the intake tract or with throttle restrictors.
