Proudly holding the motorcycle A2 driving licence, seen the dream motorcycle at the dealer, distributor – this machine HAS to be it! Small catch: the standard power output is too high for the stepped licence. Is the dream over? On the contrary, because with alpha Technik power, performance restriction kits, the motorcycle dream immediately becomes reality!

With alpha Technik restriction kits, motorcycles of all power, performance classes become more interesting for the motorcycle rider, as almost any desired model can be brought to the required power, performance of 25 kW or 35 kW. However, special conditions apply to holders of the current A2 driving licence class. The power, performance-to-weight ratio of 0.2 kW/kg and double the original output power of the series vehicle must not be exceeded.

A great deal of know-how goes into the development of power, performance restriction. Essential factors must be taken into account: on the one hand, statutory regulations such as exhaust emission, noise, and power, performance measurements according to the latest EC directive. On the other hand, the preservation of optimal rideability and homogeneous power, performance delivery as unchanged as possible.
If all requirements are met, a parts certificate is issued by the technical service. Until then, a high level of development and measurement effort is required, which is not immediately apparent from the sometimes inconspicuous restriction plates and throttle restrictors.

25 kW Restrictions:
Before the new Driving Licence Regulation, which came into force in spring 2013, new licence holders had to make do with 25 kW for 2 years.
