Proudly holding your motorcycle A2 licence, you've seen your dream motorcycle at the dealer, distributor – this machine HAS to be yours! Small catch: the standard power output for the graduated licence is too high. Dream over? On the contrary, because with alpha Technik power, performance restrictions, your motorcycle dream instantly becomes a reality!

With alpha Technik restriction kits, motorcycles of all power, performance classes become more appealing to the motorcycle rider, as almost any desired model can be brought down to the required power, performance of 25 kW or 35 kW. However, special conditions apply to holders of the current A2 motorcycle licence class. The power, performance weight of 0.2 kW/kg and double the original power output of the series vehicle must not be exceeded.

A lot of know-how goes into the development of power, performance restriction. Here, essential factors must be considered: on one side are the legal regulations, such as exhaust, noise, and power, performance measurements according to the latest EC directive. On the other side, the largely unchanged preservation of optimal rideability and homogeneous power, performance delivery.
If all requirements are met, a component certificate will be issued by the technical service. Until then, it's a high level of development and measurement effort that isn't immediately apparent in the sometimes inconspicuous restrictor plates and throttle stops.

25 kW restrictions:
Before the new driving licence regulation, which came into force in spring 2013, new licence holders had to make do with 25 kW for 2 years. Due to its extensive range, alpha Technik still offers numerous 25 kW restriction kits today, which can consequently be used by A2 licence holders. All 25 kW restrictions work mechanically; no intervention in the electronics is necessary. The power, performance restriction is achieved by installing specially designed restrictor plates in the intake manifold or with throttle stops.
