Proudly holding your motorcycle A2 licence, seen your dream motorcycle at the dealer, distributor – this machine MUST be yours! Small catch: the standard power output for the graduated licence is too high. Dream over? Quite the opposite, because with alpha Technik power, performances reductions, your motorcycle dream instantly becomes reality!

With alpha Technik restriction kits, motorcycles of all power, performances classes become more appealing to motorcycle riders, as almost any desired model can be adjusted to the required power, performance of 25 kW or 35 kW. However, special conditions apply to holders of the current A2 licence class. The power, performances-to-weight ratio of 0.2 kW/kg and double the original power output of the series vehicle must not be exceeded.

A lot of expertise goes into the development of power, performances reduction. Here, essential factors must be considered: on the one hand, statutory regulations such as exhaust, noise, and power, performances measurements according to the latest EC directive. On the other hand, the preservation, as far as possible, of optimal rideability and homogeneous power, performances delivery.
Once all requirements are met, a component certificate is issued by the technical service. Until then, it involves extensive development and metrological effort, which isn't immediately apparent in the sometimes unassuming throttle restrictor plates and throttle stops.

25 kW Restrictions:
Before the new driving licence regulation came into force in spring 2013, new licence holders had to manage with 25 kW for 2 years. Due to its extensive product range, alpha Technik still offers numerous 25 kW restriction kits today, which can therefore be used by A2 licence holders. All 25 kW restrictions work mechanically; no intervention in the electronics is necessary. The power, performances reduction is achieved by installing specially designed throttle restrictor plates in the intake tract, or with throttle stops.
