Proudly holding the motorcycle A2 licence, spotted the dream motorcycle at the dealer, distributor – this machine HAS to be it! Small catch: the standard power output for the staged licence is too high. Is the dream over? On the contrary, because with alpha Technik power, performances power reductions, your motorcycle dream immediately becomes reality!

With alpha Technik restriction kits, motorcycles of all power, performances classes become more interesting for the motorcycle rider, as almost any desired model can be brought to the required power, performance of 25 kW or 35 kW. However, special conditions apply to holders of the current A2 licence class. The power, performances weight of 0.2 kW/kg and double the original power output of the series vehicle must not be exceeded.

A lot of know-how goes into the development of power, performances power reduction. Essential factors must be taken into account: on the one hand, statutory regulations such as exhaust, noise, and power, performances measurements according to the latest EC directive. On the other hand, the preservation of optimal rideability and homogeneous power, performances power delivery, as unaltered as possible.
When all requirements are met, a part certificate is issued by the technical service. Until then, it is a high development and measurement effort, which is not immediately apparent in the sometimes inconspicuous restrictor plates and throttle stops.

25 kW Restrictions:
Before the new driving licence regulation, which came into force in spring 2013, new licence holders had to manage with 25 kW for 2 years. Due to its large assortment, alpha Technik still offers numerous 25 kW restriction kits today, which can consequently be used by A2 licence holders. All 25 kW restrictors work mechanically; no intervention in the electronics is necessary. The power, performances power reduction is achieved by installing specially designed restrictor plates in the intake tract, or with throttle stops.
