Proudly holding your A2 motorcycle licence, seen your dream motorcycle at the dealer, distributor - this machine HAS to be yours! Small catch: the standard power output for the graduated licence is too high. Dream over? On the contrary, with alpha Technik power, performance restrictions, the motorcycle dream immediately becomes a reality!

With alpha Technik restriction kits, motorcycles of all power, performance classes become more appealing for the motorcycle rider, as almost any desired model can be brought to the required power, performance of 25 kW or 35 kW. However, special conditions apply to holders of the current A2 driving licence. The power, performance weight of 0.2 kW/kg and double the original power output of the standard vehicle must not be exceeded.

Extensive expertise goes into the development of power, performance restriction. Key factors must be considered: on one side are legal regulations, such as exhaust emission, noise, and power, performance measurements according to the latest EC directive. On the other side, the largely unchanged preservation of optimal rideability and homogeneous power, performance delivery.
Once all requirements are met, a component certificate is issued by the technical service. Until then, there is a significant development and measurement effort involved, which is not always immediately apparent in the sometimes unassuming throttle plates and throttle stops.

25 kW restrictions:
Before the new driving licence regulation, which came into force in spring 2013, new licence holders had to make do with 25 kW for 2 years. Due to its extensive range, alpha Technik still offers numerous 25 kW restriction kits today, which can therefore be used by A2 licence holders. All 25 kW restrictions work mechanically; no intervention in the electronics is necessary. The power, performance restriction is achieved through the installation of specially designed throttle plates in the intake manifold, or with throttle stops.
