Proudly holding the motorcycle A2 driving licence, seen your dream motorcycle at the dealer, distributor – this machine MUST be yours! Small catch: the standard power for the graduated licence is too high. Dream over? Quite the opposite, because with alpha Technik power, performances restrictions, the motorcycle dream immediately becomes reality!

With alpha Technik restriction kits, motorcycles of all power, performances classes become more interesting for the motorcycle rider, as almost any desired model can be restricted to the required power, performance of 25 kW or 35 kW. However, special conditions apply to holders of the current A2 driving licence class. The power, performances-to-weight ratio of 0.2 kW/kg and double the original power of the standard vehicle must not be exceeded.

A lot of expertise goes into the development of power, performances restriction. Key factors must be taken into account here: on one hand, there are the legal regulations, such as exhaust, noise, and power, performances measurements according to the latest EC directive. On the other hand, the preservation of optimal rideability and homogeneous power, performances development as unchanged as possible.
Once all requirements are met, a technical component report is created by the technical service. Until then, it involves a high level of development and measurement effort, which is not immediately apparent in the sometimes inconspicuous throttle plates and throttle stops.

25 kW Restrictions:
Before the new driving licence regulation, which came into force in spring 2013, new drivers had to manage with 25 kW for 2 years. Due to its extensive range, alpha Technik still offers numerous 25 kW restriction kits today, which can consequently be used by A2 licence holders. All 25 kW restrictions work mechanically; no intervention in the electronics is necessary. The power, performances restriction is achieved by installing specially designed throttle plates in the intake tract, or with throttle stops.
