Proudly holding the motorcycle A2 licence, spotted the dream motorcycle at the dealer, distributor – this bike HAS to be it! Small catch: the standard power for the tiered licence is too high. Is the dream over? On the contrary, because with alpha Technik power, performances reductions, the motorcycle dream instantly becomes a reality!

With alpha Technik restriction kits, motorcycles of all power, performances classes become more interesting for the motorcycle rider, as almost any desired model can be restricted to the required power, performance of 25 kW or 35 kW. However, special conditions apply to holders of the current A2 driving licence class. The power, performances weight of 0.2 kW/kg and double the original output of the standard vehicle must not be exceeded.

A lot of expertise goes into the development of power, performances reduction. Essential factors must be considered here: on one hand, there are legal regulations such as exhaust, noise, and power, performances measurements according to the latest EC directive. On the other hand, the aim is to maintain optimal rideability and homogeneous power, performances delivery as unchanged as possible.
If all requirements are met, a technical report is prepared by the technical service. Until then, it is a high development and measurement effort, which is not immediately apparent from the sometimes inconspicuous throttle restrictors and throttle travel limiters.

25 kW Restrictions:
Before the new driving licence regulation, which came into force in spring 2013, novice riders had to manage with 25 kW for 2 years. Due to its extensive range, alpha Technik still offers numerous 25 kW restriction kits today, which can consequently be used by holders of the A2 licence. All 25 kW restrictions operate mechanically; no electronic intervention is required. The power, performances reduction is achieved by installing specially designed throttle restrictors in the intake tract or with throttle travel limiters.
