Proudly holding the motorcycle A2 licence, seen your dream motorcycle at the dealer, distributor – this machine HAS to be yours! Small catch: the standard power output for the progressive licence is too high. Dream over? Quite the opposite, because with alpha Technik power, performance reductions, your motorcycle dream instantly becomes reality!

With alpha Technik restriction kits, motorcycles of all power, performance classes become more appealing to the motorcycle rider, as almost any desired model can be reduced to the required power, performance of 25 kW or 35 kW. However, special conditions apply to holders of the current A2 licence class. The power, performance-to-weight ratio of 0.2 kW/kg and double the original power output of the series vehicle must not be exceeded.

Extensive expertise goes into developing the power, performance reduction. Key factors must be considered: on one hand, legal requirements such as exhaust, noise, and power, performance measurements according to the latest EC directive. On the other hand, maintaining optimal rideability and homogeneous power, performance delivery as unchanged as possible. Once all requirements are met, a parts certificate is issued by the technical service. Until then, it involves significant development and measurement effort, which is not immediately apparent in the sometimes inconspicuous restrictor plates and throttle stops.

25 kW Restrictions:
Before the new driving licence regulation, which came into force in spring 2013, new licence holders had to manage with 25 kW for 2 years. Due to its wide range, alpha Technik still offers numerous 25 kW restriction kits today, which can therefore be used by holders of the A2 licence. All 25 kW restrictions work mechanically; no intervention in the electronics is necessary. The power, performance reduction is achieved by installing specially designed restrictor plates in the intake tract, or with throttle stops.
