Proudly holding your motorcycle A2 driving licence, you've seen your dream motorcycle at the dealer, distributor – this machine MUST be yours! Small catch: the standard power, performance for a graduated licence is too high. Is the dream over? On the contrary, with alpha Technik power, performance restrictions, your motorcycle dream immediately becomes a reality!

With alpha Technik restriction kits, motorcycles of all power, performance classes become more appealing for motorcycle riders, as almost any desired model can be restricted to the required power, performance of 25 kW or 35 kW. However, specific conditions apply to holders of the current A2 driving licence. The power, performance-to-weight ratio of 0.2 kW/kg and double the original power, performance of the standard vehicle must not be exceeded.

A great deal of know-how goes into the development of power, performance restriction. Essential factors must be considered: on one hand, legal regulations such as exhaust gas, noise, and power, performance measurements according to the latest EC directive. On the other hand, maintaining optimal rideability and homogeneous power, performance delivery as unchanged as possible.
Once all requirements are met, a technical report is issued by the technical service. Until then, there is a high level of development and measurement effort, which is not immediately apparent from the sometimes unassuming restriction plates and throttle stops.

25 kW Restrictions:
Before the new driving licence regulation came into force in spring 2013, new licence holders had to manage with 25 kW for 2 years. Due to its extensive product range, alpha Technik still offers numerous 25 kW restriction kits today, which can consequently be used by A2 licence holders. All 25 kW restrictions work mechanically; no electronic intervention is necessary. The power, performance restriction occurs through the installation of specially designed restriction plates in the intake tract or with throttle stops.
